Our peer support groups provide women with a safe, welcoming space to meet others who have had similar experiences. We understand that domestic abuse can feel isolating. Being around people who understand can help women feel less alone, build confidence and develop supportive connections with others.
Our groups offer a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where women can talk, listen, share experiences or simply spend time with others. You don’t have to share anything you’re not comfortable with, and you can take part at your own pace.

Peer support at The Lotus:
We hold drop-in peer support groups at The Lotus every:
Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
10am–1pm
The groups provide an opportunity to meet other women, build supportive relationships and take part in activities that promote wellbeing, confidence and recovery.
Our groups can help women:
Connect with others who may understand their experiences.
Reduce isolation by having a safe space to spend time with others.
Build confidence through positive social connections and shared experiences.
Share and listen in an environment where everyone is treated with respect.
Access support through signposting to other services where appropriate.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about or share before you come along. Whether you want to meet other women, have a chat, take part in an activity or simply spend time somewhere you feel welcome, you’re invited to join us.
You don’t have to go through your journey alone. Our peer support groups are here to help you connect, feel supported and build confidence for the future.
