We are so lucky at Resolute to have dedicated fundraising partners, who work hard to source donations to keep our services running.
This week, we’d like to spotlight The Girls’ Society, run by the wonderful Liv Sheehan. TGS is a Barnsley-based group designed to foster female community and run exciting events to help women “make friends, make memories, and get out more”.
Alongside her events, Liv wanted TGS to become a platform for change, making a tangible difference to women in her local community. Therefore, it made perfect sense for her to partner with Resolute — who also support women in Barnsley, but in a very different way.
A few weeks ago, TGS completed their first fundraising activity for Resolute, as a group of them took on a sponsored hike around Padley Gorge in the Peak District. They absolutely smashed it, completing the trail in under 3 hours, and raising invaluable funds for Resolute.
That’s not all; they have several events coming up designed to generate donations. For some festive fun, they will be holding a wreathmaking workshop on the 20th November at our very own Lotus, and their Christmas party on December 12th will be doubling up as a charity fundraiser for Resolute!
